The story of Zumzi Craft was born from the childhood passion of Zumzilici creators for wooden toys — a passion rediscovered with their entry into the world of parents. Decades ago, children had a limited range of toy options, but their quality and functionality were undeniable. Toys made of wood “flooded” the Romanian market with their creative design that stimulated the development of children’s skills and creativity. As a result, the little designers of that time became the great designers of today, creating with special care for details and functionality, toys for children, but also for adults furniture of the highest quality.

The opportunity to materialize the passion in business appeared by accessing the START-UP PLUS program. With the help of European funds, the Zumzi Craft workshop opened its doors.

Context

The entry of the small Gorj producer was a successful one, but it soon became clear that it is vital to create a convincing digital identity, the field being quite niche and with fierce competition at national level. Especially, in the context of the pandemic situation, the Zumzilici team wanted to come close to the lovers of wooden products, intended for both children and adults.

Challenge

For this purpose, on the occasion of the anniversary of the first year since the establishment of the successful START-UP, Zumzilici turned to the Web Logistics team. The launch of the ecommerce solution www.zumzilici.ro, 1 year after the passion for wooden toys, combined with the desire to offer children safe, original and educational toys has become a reality—is a natural step in the evolution of the small workshop.
