GORJBIZ is a unique project in the Gorj area, materialized in a bifunctional platform:
– The only local economic news portal;
– platform dedicated to promoting local companies from Gorj.
Context
GorjBiz arose from the desire to cover an information vacuum — in the online space — on the Gorj economic environment. The project was reified in the form of a START-UP co-financed from the European Social Fund through POCU.
The need for up-to-date, coagulated, quality and user-friendly information has found its solution, with the advent of GorjBiz.
GorjBiz has set itself since its inception, to become the main source of economic news in Brâncuși County, and on the other hand to offer the only online space where companies can register in order to improve the brand image both in front of the targeted customers, as well as to attract the attention of potential investors.
Challenge
It must be said, first of all, that the GorjBiz project is a concept of the Web Logistics team and as such, we took care of its implementation head-on. From the point of view of web construction and development, things were clear, the results depending exclusively on the experience and competence of the team. But the real challenge was to populate the platform, with RELEVANT economic content at the local level, and to make companies embrace the concept of a common space for promotion.
Solution
A website of news portal type was created in WordPress, with numerous customized modules and special graphics. At the same time, the press releases are disseminated in other local and national publications. GorjBiz also benefits from a sustained presence on Social Media.
Obviously, the Web Logistics team also provides maintenance to the website.
Result
The quality of the information found on the site, but also its constant promotion, made it a success in terms of start-up`s evaluation criteria. GorjBiz became profitable starting with the second year of existence.
